"Fresh Metal"

So a little while back somebody gave my boy, I think it was a five pack of dinky cars by Maisto. Most of the cars in the pack felt cheap and never received any attention from myself, and to be honest I would even suggest other cars to my son whenever he would grab one of "those cars" lol. They quickly became the cars to beat up on, for fun, and to see how much damage they could withstand. Then one day, I got stuck with this one...

And then it all made sense. The reason these cars were so crappy is because this one truck took all the cool that was in the box, and left none for the others! This car is the bully that took your lunch money and left you in the yard with slumped shoulders and what the rest of the kids thought was a tear forming in your eyes, but you told them it was just allergies.. (no in all seriousness tho, I hate bullies.. maybe that means I hate this truck now)

No I still like it.

Is anyone else remembering the movie "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" right about now? By the way, this one is a Hummer Hx Concept, by Maisto.

Mystery car, a good surprise!

Ever see these "Mystery" boxes for sale? I did and bought two! So this weekend we opened one of them, and I was kind of surprised to find a fairly decent car inside..

The car is called "Fish'd & Chip'd". I think it's a Bentley, but I'm not positive. It's a right hand drive and has a tray in front of the passenger sitting directly behind the driver. Also some pretty sweet rims!

I love the "Hot Wheels" detail given to the rear window, and the yellow tint is proper for that paint.. Add some wicked pin striping and all in all you've got yourself a pretty slick street cruiser. Way to go Hot Wheels, I'm impressed.

Ferrari F50

Can you tell this one's been played with? This car has some really sweet lines, you can almost hear it ripping down a straight, flat out, can't you. Also I like how the pillow it's on looks like red carbon fiber.. Bonus!

"Red Lead Sled"

Or "Ford RLS" I'd like to think.. It's not the most properly aligned photo, but look at all that Red! I'll get more pictures posted of this sweet '56 Ford later on, because I'm sure anyone viewing this blog is definitely interested in more of this one. The only problem with this car is that the hood hinges on the front bumper, and it's always opening when you drive it around. (and Happy Fathers Day)

Getting the weekend started...

It's a 1:64th 1969 Dodge Dart GTS. Pretty beast looking dinky car if you ask me.. Did anyone else ever wish you could shrink and actually get in and drive these things around your living room?
